Bombstrikes deliver up another huge does of Funk, this time in the shape of a debut EP from X-Ray Ted. Being no stranger to the scene, X-Ray Ted has soaked up the sounds of his native city Bristol on previous productions, earning a seal of approval from aficionados such as Craig Charles and this EP looks set to continue that trend. There are three tracks to choose from here, starting with the lead track 'Fake Gold' which fuses guitar hooks with slick bass and rolling beats to devastating effect. The title track 'Swagger' struts it's sound exactly how you would expect, grooving things along nicely before the horn line takes the track to another level! Finally, 'Buddy Burger' takes things down a 4/4 disco funk route with a hypnotising vocal hook that will draw you in after just one listen. All in all, an excellent debut on Bombstrikes and can't wait to hear more!
